  • [...] there is a site that offers users the opportuníty for us to choose for ourselves. Just go to bingdevelop.com and type in any search term you are unfamiliar with and see which search engine results you would [...]

  • Google won two out of three, bing the third.

  • Jim says:

My results for transportation (limos, airport shuttles, taxis etc.) in the Atlantic City / NJ area were 100% google. I’m sure that’s not the norm, but that’s what happened.

  • Jeff C says:

I am at about 50% Google, 40% Bing, 10% Yahoo. Interestingly, many of my sites which were optimized to rank in Google actually rank better in Bing. So from a business standpoint, I will be pleased if Bing gains market share!

I submit that Bing is a much greater threat to Yahoo than to Google. Let’s face it – that has to be MS’s short term goal. You can’t go after the big G until you overtake the Big Y!

    • BingDevelop says:

There are a lot of rumors about such a deal. At this point we believe a deal between Bing & Yahoo search is definitely going to happen. It is only a matter of time.

  • Antonio says:

I found Google give better results. Actually some of the Bing results were not even related to the topic… they seemed like SPAM sites. I was hopping that Bing would be better, what a disappointment.

    • BingDevelop says:

Is probably because you have build a search pattern. You are accustomed to the results that Google provided you with. And when you search similar terms that you would usually search on a daily basis, you are not used to Bing’s results.

Essentially, the test is only valid if you search key word terms that you usually don’t search. If you do, you will simply be searching for Google results on Bing.

      • poki says:

That does not make sense “the test is only valid if you search key word terms that you usually don’t search.” – Then I’ll just use the those same words in google instead and get different results. After using it, I find that Bing is just another search engine – my results are no better than using the other search engines.

        • BingDevelop says:

I apologize for the confusion. I want to clarify what I previously stated.

Essentially, a lot of internet users have developed the habit of using google to find the site they want to go to. Some people will search Facebook on google and click on the first result to access Facebook.

In another example, somebody searches for casual shoes, and say Zappos was the result that came up. The user makes a purchase on Zappos. And every time he wants to buy a new pair of shoes he would repeat the search, click and explore process with Google. This way search & browsing becomes a habit, and the user becomes familiar with the search results from Google.

So searching for a term that you are not accustom to will be a true indication of the results from the three search engines.

    Very surprising results.

Bing came top on my test, what really surprised me was that google came last.

I thnk we all need to get out of the habit of “Googling” things and run searches instead

  • Good Experience while using Bing.

  • Awesome tool !!
I searched and compared these search engines and I found Google and yahoo are still doing good but in some cases Bing is getting closer to them .

In all Google is still at the top

  • lakehome says:

Very cool. I was shocked with the results. I’m going to have my co-workers take the test.

  • Christian says:

I just did one test. All three were VERY close but the one I picked ended up being Yahoo.

  • Jonathan says:

what happen to all the non Bing comments from 7/3. I’d say this isn’t an accurate site for anything but Bing!

  • YAng says:

i liked google because i found my self when i search for images. and my facebook picture came up

  • YAng says:

I tried this on my co-worker Max, he uses google regularly, but on the test he liked bing 3 out of 5 times. my other co-worker rashid like bing twice, and yahoo once
